My name is Wendy and I am the parent behind The Digital Parent.
I am passionate about embracing the benefits of technology for kids but acknowledge that technology is moving fast and parents are having difficulty keeping up with their child’s tech abilities. My aim is for The Digital Parent to become a ‘knowledge centre’ that parents can rely on. The Digital Parent will aim to:
- Provide high quality, trustworthy information and tools to help manage kids online lives
- Help parents embrace technology by understanding both the benefits and the risks.
The Digital Parent is committed to helping parents understand the ways kids consume content, how they communicate online and how they can interact with these tools positively and above all safely.
I encourage parents to be involved, and communicate openly and honestly about the benefits of technology, and not let technology become ‘the other parent’.
I live in Melbourne Australia with my husband, 3 kids and adorable dog ‘Bella’. When I am not dissecting the latest technology trends impacting kids and the best tools to help parents, I will be found ferrying my kids to various sporting activities and squeezing in a little outdoor time for myself.
