- Easy installation: Webwatcher is again very easy to install and no technical experience is necessary. A toll-free customer support centre is available, or you can log in via your account and ask questions via live chat.
- Content / Website Contextual Blocking – Wetwatcher can block sites by category, by web address or by content. The list of blocked sites is continually updated based on the parameters set by you. If a child tries to visit a site you have blocked, a generic error will appear and you will be notified of the attempt.
- Email Recording – Webwatcher gives you the ability to read all incoming and outgoing email and supports all major email programs such as AOL Webmail, MySpace Mail, Outlook, Outlook Express, Hotmail and Yahoo Mail. You can capture other email programs via the Smart Camera or with WebWatcher’s keystroke and screen shot monitors.
- Instant Message Recording – Webwatcher will record all chat room conversations. Kids can be cruel, and unfortunately hateful opinions can circulate via instant messages and chat rooms. Similarly, if your child strikes up a conversation with an unknown person this feature will help you stay informed so you can take corrective action before it is too late. Webwatcher has support for AIM, Windows Messenger, MSN and Yahoo Messenger. Other messenger programs can be tracked via the screen shot feature.
- Smart Camera – Screen shots can be taken with a built in smart camera, based on Alert words that you may set up. Alert words bring issues to your attention so you don’t need to wade through every email, chat session and keystroke recorded.
- Invisible – Webwatcher operates invisibly, giving you peace of mind that your child is fully protected. This may seem like you are invading your child’s privacy, but you may prevent them from entering dangerous situations with this information, which is far better than reacting to a situation later.
